La Perle Boutique Hotel - Jerusalem

I loved the location and the price. The staff was wonderful and the room was simple, but clean & there was a small balcony that looked out on the pedestrian mall. It was only a few steps from a major street, so I didn't have to carry my luggage far when the taxi dropped me off.

Although the room was clean the bathroom smelled very mildewy and needed the grout replaced or cleaned with clorox. That was the only thing that I found to not be perfect for the price!

I can't say enough good things about La Perle hotel. One of my all time best experiences. Daniela and Leon went well beyond their obligations in terms of service. The hotel location is excellent, close to both the Old City and all of the best shopping in the West Jerusalem. The atmosphere is warm, comfortable, and friendly. This is the kind of place you don't want to leave. I'll definitely be back.

It is a basic place, well located, harder to find though as it is in an pedestrian zone

You have to call a local cell phone number to get a person to come to open the reception. While waiting, a couple came in who had akey to one of the rooms and let me in. I was then waiting inside the reception room where suitcases are "stored" openly. Security is a question from within. Also the room I had, the cheapest, had a window to the staircase to the next floor. So, no chance to leave the window open. The tv system is complicated. They have an elobarate step by step advisory, however, could not get it work. Since there is no one at the reception at night, I did not bother to call to get someone to come. I also had a rental car and the recommended cheapest secure parking was quite a distance. All in all this particular hotel is not a place I would like to return to.

Very Nice and Clean low cost Boutique hotel in an excellent location in the middle of Jerusalem Israel.

The lobby needs to sell items: Bottled water, soda, snacks & toiletries should be for sale and available in the lobby. Need to install phones in each room with contact to the lobby reception. There is no elevator and it would be nice to be able to call down to the lobby.I didn't mind walking down the stairs but it would hav ebeen nice to have a phone in the room.

First of all, the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Whatever you ask or need, they are at your disposal, and they do so in an always kind and friendly manner. Second, the location is perfect if one wants to visit the old city, the mount of olives and also the more modern parts of inner Jerusalem. There are shops and restaurants of any kind in the direct neighbourhood, and we enjoyed that it was lively from the morning until night.

Location: Steps to shopping, cafes; 15-min. Walk to Old City. Room: Very clean. Balcony a plus. Price: Very reasonable (for Israel).

The location was excellent.

The bathroom was horrible. For under $100 they could recaulk the disgusting shower, change the gross bathmat, put in a new mirror, and add a hook!! If they did that it would be a cute hotel.

Location - situated between Ben Yehuda and King George you have immediate access to shopping, restaurants, etc. close enough to walk to Old City and shook.

The person running the hotel was very helpful and knowledgeable about the area.The hotel was very well located in Jerusalem.

The breakfast next door was very good but a little bit limited. (choice of pastry with coffee OR orange juice....)

Great location. In pedestrian area of the New City (around the corner of Ben Yehuda Street. Comfortable bed. Room is quite big. We stayed here five days. One of the staffmembers was extreme friendly (helping us finding a hospital).

Bathroom is small (with mold growth). One night we couldn't sleep of the noise (probably because of the airco in the neighbours' bedroom). Breakfast is served in a nearby coffeshop. With vouchers. Good food, but everyday we had discussions with the staff of the coffeeshop about what was and what wasn't included in our vouchers. No cleaning on shabbat and no breakfast on shabbat (except a large box of pastries handed out on friday afternoon).

Everything about La Perle was great. The location is wonderful if you like walking out the door and instantly feeling part of things. It's a small hotel, and the breakfast included is at the outdoor cafe next door, so you're not insulated from your surroundings. The neighborhood is lively and pleasant, and it's just a short walk up Jaffa Road from the Old City. The staff is cheerful, hospitable, and extremely helpful. The room was clean, light, and pleasant. This hotel is not only a real find at the price, it's just plain excellent of its kind.
